This directly contributes to the shortage of qualified medical professionals and health services.\u00a0Many patients are forced to travel 400 kms to Thunder Bay Ontario for specialist services and surgery.\u00a0There are few apartments available for seniors who want or need to move out of their homes into senior friendly units.<\/div>\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\">A number of residents met and decided to form a volunteer community group to advocate for improved housing and health services. Sioux-Hudson Health and Housing advocates for new housing of all types, and improvement of all types of health care services for residents of Sioux Lookout &amp; Hudson.\u00a0We gather and share information &amp; concerns of residents, organizations and governments, facilitate conversations to create options for action, and\u00a0lobby for funding and regulatory changes that may be necessary for our projects.<\/div>\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\">Thanks for stopping by and learning more about our work.
