We hope that this site will help us share information more easily, since there are still restrictions on Facebook posts.<\/p>\n
I recently came across a new book by John Lord: Aging and Elder Care, Time for Transformation<\/em>. From the back cover, “With practical strategies for advocacy and innovative community approached, Lord inspires readers to envision a future where elder care is inclusive, person-centred, and respectful of the dignity of all elders”.<\/p>\n We’re all aging and, if we don’t plan for our own futures, we’ll be stuck with whatever is available. Given that new housing projects can easily take 3+ years until completion, we’d better start the discussions. There are other related issues to consider, including health at home, transportation, and healthy food delivery.<\/p>\n Are you interested in being part of a discussion group, talking about ideas from this book? Maybe weekly meetings, an hour or so during the day?
